Dokun is a versatile guitar player with a unique style that was cultivated by intense musical experience in his native Nigeria and international exposure.
 

Dokun is a master of different styles of music including Jazz, Fusion, Rock, R&B, Funk, Reggae and many contemporary styles of African music. Dokun’s music is classified as West African jazz in the category of world music where African rhythmic flavor is blended with European and Brazilian harmony. Dokun’s music and style is influenced by legendary musicians like Wes Montgomery, George Benson, Pat Matheney, Manu Dibango, Richard Bona, and Lionel Loueke.
 

His versatility earned him a scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music in 2012 where he became the first Nigerian to Graduate from the College’s Guitar Department

Dokun has shared the stage with Janes Addiction at New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden. 
 

He performed locally in Nigeria with Femi Kuti during which he recorded one album (Fight to Win) and a DVD (Live In African Shrine). 
 

Internationally, he toured with Femi Kuti performing in places like Germany, Canada, France, Germany and USA.  Dokun has also played at world renowned festivals including Nice Jazz Festival in France and Playboy Jazz Festival in Los Angeles.
